Mathias Bak Bertelsen
Co-founder and software engineer at Atlon
Mathias is one of the founders of Atlon. He worked as a software engineer at Uber before co-founding Atlon.
Atlon started with his own training. During the 2018 CrossFit Open he did each workout twice, on Friday and again on Sunday, and analysed his first attempt by hand to plan the second. He wanted a watch that could do that analysis for him, so he built a prototype that recognised exercises and reps from smartwatch sensor data. It launched on the App Store as Wodscribe in December 2020 and is now Atlon.
He reviews everything published in the Atlon Journal and the FAQ. He isn’t a coach: training advice here comes from Atlon’s data on real workouts and from published research, and each post links its sources.
